John Allen

After completing his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Queen's University, Belfast, John went on to qualify as a Social Worker, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work from the University of Ulster, Coleraine.

John has 24 years experience working in Health Care, in a wide variety of clinical settings, including, inpatient psychiatric care, specialist outpatient clinics, acute psychiatric care and psychiatric care in community settings.

This work involved extensive experience of one to one counselling and group work. He also has many years of experience in Social Work Education and Training.

John's other qualifications include, an Advanced Diploma in the Management of Psychological Trauma from Nottingham Trent University, a Postgraduate Diploma from the Centre Training International School of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy, Preston and a Postgraduate Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Practice from Queen's University, Belfast.

More recently, John has moved into private practice as a Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist, he is based in Belfast.
